I am Dr Gareth
Vincenti, a Consultant Psychiatrist working in the independent sector in Yorkshire.
Between 2000 and 2009 I worked mainly from the Cygnet Hospital in Harrogate, for most
of this time as the Medical Director. Prior to this I was an NHS
consultant in adult and old age psychiatry, having qualified as a
doctor in 1981 and achieving Membership of the Royal College of Psychiatrists
in 1987. I was elected a Fellow of the Royal College of Psychiatrists
in 2000.
I have wide
experience in general adult and old age psychiatry and have a particular
interest in Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, alcohol use disorder, eating disorders and
occupational health assessments in psychiatry.
I also have a busy medico-legal practice, providing reports for
solicitors and the Courts on a range of issues, principally in the field of civil litigation and
the assessment of capacity.
